Not only that in the year 1993 it was awarded the Booker of Bookers as the best novel to have received the prize during its first 25 years. The novels of Salman Rushdie is written in unique style which is often termed as magical realism. One of the most dominant themes of the works of Salman Rushdie is the elongated, complex and often fraught story with m any connections, disruptions and migrations between east and west. He deals with the shifting values and the questions of faith between orient and occident.
